First post: Questions regarding ALTEC 612 enclosure - DIY

I had checked with GPA a couple months ago about the 9.0 CF tuned to 45.5 Hz or the 6.0 CF tuned to 53 Hz, and Bill told me that yes, the bigger cabinet plays a bit lower, but in his mind it wasn't worth the extra size the cabinets take up.

I was told the exact same thing

Hmm.. difference in height of the placement of the speaker element in a 612C and the 612 DIY I?ve posted previously is not that much.

If I use damping feets or something else I will get roughly the same height.

The red dimension is the total height if placing something underneath the DIY cabinet.
